i can't begin to describe how overjoyed i was this afternoon to receive this AMAZING record of last years librAwesome californiAdventure.. sent to me by the one+only mr. multi-talented danny sangra, my newest libro birthday week buddy+bestE's future forever, who has wowed me full-tilt in oh so many ways+certainly again today with his impeccable video documentation skills.

it's just simply delightful to see the still images i've been processing, since our return last october, come back to life in real time...
[also kinda wild that it's been nearly a whole year since, and it's almost time for our 2nd annual;]

i hope you enjoy it nearly as much as i do!

the foggy mountains of switzerland welcomed us in for an international hang.

we have just returned from a magical journey abroad to ravello, italy and locarno, switzerland..we visited the latter destination for the locarno film festival to celebrate the european premieres of two of my betrothed's producing projects: ANOTHER EARTH (artist public domain) and TERRI (verisimilitude).



not that i could be a million percent objective but both films are truly wonderful in the most thoughtful fashion. not hard to imagine given the respectively radical nature of both directors mike cahill and azazel jacobs.
i strongly encourage you find a way to see these films, they will not just entertain you but thoughtfully challenge you to consider the shared human experience and the complex circumstance of subjectivity.



for the audiophiles, the ANOTHER EARTH soundtrack by the dear men of FALL ON YOUR SWORD is BRILLIANT!!!

they flew all the way to locarno to perform but unfortunately the 220 voltage got the best of their equipment..leaving my dance off with lady brit at a stand still, cut regrettably short by stupid swiss energy... but if you wanna get with it;) i strongly suggest you check out (+stream) it here. or better yet buy it here! (or remixed here)

we: sighted a bald eagle, spent the morning walking on a lake, had a major dance/house party, exploded fireworks galore, had a led zepplin sing along in the last minutes of the decade, ate absolutely phenomenal marlow+daughters supplied meals, shared a lot of bubbly, made some magic and a lot of awesome...all shared with best friends+new friends.

i think 2011 is going to be a great year!

we're ditching the new york new years brouhaha (IN MY NEW CAR!) to hang out in a lake house in the poconos!

what we've got on the agenda: eat loads of yummy marlow+daughters food, light a couple smoke bombs, wear sequins by the fire, take LOADS of fotos, drink this bottle of veuve and just get really fucking groovy.

i promise i will post more fotos soon. i just cleared 3,660 pics from iphoto-i.e. i've finally had a chance to upload all my digi pics from november+december...but i have to go dig my car out from under heaps of snow so my apologies but you'll have to wait a few days more:)

i don't know about you but my new years resolutions are stacking up: eat more fruit, make some more books, back up my digi jazz more frequently, jump rope, get rid of this vintage archive (lemme know if you'd like to make an appointment to go thru it;), +paint more frequently.
