monica canilao's epic opening night..too many people to photograph well (+also my camera was acting drunk+wouldn't focus most of the time:(...followed by some fun (+yum) times at roebling tea room.

as you dear readers know, i've been crushing out on monica's magical creations and her mystical mama ways for over a year now... so obviously, i'm MORE than completely-totally-radically-jazzed to finally get to see and experience her work in person..i anticipate feeling incredibly inspired (and mired with guilt that i'm not painting enough) as soon as i walk into the space.
[full disclosure-i plan to profess my artcrushlove to her at the opening but in reality, i'll likely feel a bit shy about actually doing it when the moment comes..(currently considering that perhaps some feathers and bourbon will help)...]

refinery29 did a little write up last week on tina kalivas latest collection...of which i am very keen on. in fact, i would be most delighted to dress up in one of her creations for a wedding or any such special occasion.

now, everyone knows i've got major hippy leanings+am into all kinds of tribal/rainbo frocks+accessories...so duh, this line is right up my glamour-hippy alley.

to top off my love+leanings-not only are the pieces original+colorful but they are also, shall i say kinda artsy...instantly reminding me of monica canilao's quilted treasures. +given that i'm so keen on canilao right now, i thought this may be a perfect opportunity for a little art/fashion mash-up..
