she was casually embedding herself into my heart. (visually pleasing me the whole way in a most uncommon fashion.)

no bigs (or BFD if you nasty),
just some more epic and tripped out brilliance from my dear darling gal, chrissie abbott.

(just saying...this might well be my most favorite thing to be featured in of all the fotos+videos i've collaborated on..)

leaving me to wonder...why do some of my favorite sunny special friends have to live on the other side of the atlantic??? it's majorly lametown some days more than others...like today when i'm reminded that my witchy woman collaborator is too far to collaborate with on the daily. i'd like a zipline transporter from london to nyc to lala pronto...k? k!

we bonded over the stagnacy of the photographic image...

pax paloscia is a totally radical+mighty talented italian lass i met at icp..
she was recently asked to contribute her notebook to a moleskin project:detour in instanbul..(the fotos above are what they used for their invite-congrats love!)

check out her book here..i have to say- this makes me really want to get back to the pleasure of painting..i miss it so. (somebody please take all this excess clothing outta my studio already!)

collective crystals opens manana*

our dear old college santa fe crew is at it again..

collaborative crystals looks to be an outstanding display/installation of edible art put together by the epically talented (+fellow csf-er) miss erica browne, in collaboration with the papabubble kids, mercedez singleton, +many other contributors..
also on view is a (magic mushroom friendly) time-lapse video documenting the growth magic by parker chehak..

so come on back to papabubble (380 broome st) and get mystical.

chikara umihara graduated from the icp general studies program with me+xabi in 2007. since then he has been diligently working in the realm of mitch epstein+stephen shore. he's stuck in tokyo trying to get his visa sorted but for now his survey of american life can be viewed on his newly relaunched website..

she blows the roof off

my older sister has always astounded me, as talented older sisters will do..she did it again last weekend..by making these spectacular head dresses (on saturday afternoon) for her bestE+roomate, meg. we had a briliant time at her birthday party in the airstream at marlow/diner. ..something that needs to happen again very soon-i mean the food, the trailer, the drink, the amazing service, and delightful company..what could be better.
p.s. beka is thinking of starting a party hat service. i think it's a brilliant idea+it makes me think that one day i'll get married with some radical head gear..or wait, maybe i'll just turn 30 in october and go from there.

matt[y] siegle is super

my buddy matt is out at calarts getting his m.f.a..he used to live in new york and now he lives in los angeles and studies with our gal suze on the left side. i ran into him at the openings, when i was out there visiting, and i was reminded to check out his website.
and my feeling is that along with being a very handsome fellow, he is talented and witty within his work and this is important to me. check out his work here
