this is my thrird thrift mission to ventura+i have to say it is so very best...there are like 6 thrift shops on main st-you just zigzag across the streets+keep winning. it's rad+well worth the drive from LA...i also snagged some megaMAZING rings which i'll show you later...the only downside was getting rear ended waiting to get on the freeway, on my way out of town...

1. utter perfection! i've been wanting a monochromatic emerald look for awhile. this fall'10 rachel comey ensemble would certainly due just fine!

2.these swedish hasbeens are such a great color+a perfect walkable heel...(i saw a gal at a thrift store in LA wearing them+she says they're amazingly comfortable). i want more candy or nature hued shoes dude!

3.these wood wood leathers are like leather sweat pants. i tried them on at creatures of comfort+almost invested but alas, the ass is really bad-like a flat backed droop...but maybe that's okay?? cause they are so silly+awesome+comfortable.. +i wish i were wearing them to fashion week parties tomorrow. i hate it when that happens.

if you find yourself staying at the vagabond inn by the beach, i'd recommend this spot for a word-up-watering-hole. star lounge is pretty much totally sweet, kinda like lucy's but with mad west coast steez.

i was being pretty good about the austerity program until last week. but what with a samma sample sale+the highly anticipated topshop opening+my dream moto**..what's a gal (read:shopaholic) to do? i mean, honestly..

**which i've been thinking+dreaming of since mid january-which is the longest time i've ever slept on anything..it was destined to be mine. i mean, you might ask, how was it still there in the super regular size 38 after all this time? the silly people in LA weren't buying so they sent it here..where my gal heather was able to swing a pretty awesome discount, booyea!

double zipped final fantasy

i've been obsessing over this moto jacket since the day that kat+i stopped into a.p.c. to visit heather, just before we went to l.a.(i.e. months ago)...i have been thinking about it almost every single day since...i'm going to go try it on again. here's hoping that somehow, magically, it won't look as fantastic as i recall...
it would be so nice for all seasons, for forever. i mean, seriously-the double zip is killin' me!

turner alerted me to this story from location in miami..all i have to say is-holy shit. this is too many crashes..too close to home....apparently it went down due to a bird strike. damn canadian geese at it again. luckily none of the 150 odd passengers were hurt. thankfully the pilot, who's known as sully, was talented enough to actually (+apparently expertly) land the plane in the water..below is the flight tracker...
