here i am, once again feeling terribly lucky to have such remarkably radical friends!!

i can't begin to describe how overjoyed i was this afternoon to receive this AMAZING record of last years librAwesome californiAdventure.. sent to me by the one+only mr. multi-talented danny sangra, my newest libro birthday week buddy+bestE's future forever, who has wowed me full-tilt in oh so many ways+certainly again today with his impeccable video documentation skills.

it's just simply delightful to see the still images i've been processing, since our return last october, come back to life in real time...
[also kinda wild that it's been nearly a whole year since, and it's almost time for our 2nd annual;]

i hope you enjoy it nearly as much as i do!

we've returned from the grande tour ofOten (also referred to as 'out of service').
+i've got 36 rolls of film and countless polaroids to show for it...
yet shockingly or atypically rather, i shot hardly any digital (though i did take a bunch of iPhone shots for twitter +facebook of course)...

you've likely noticed, i've taken a break from my virtual sketchbook-in order to focus on my actual tangible life, grad school applications+the like. so apologies for the lack of updates but c'est la vie..i think it'll be easier to post as this weather continues it's decline into frigidity.

i begin scanning tomorrow morning so stay tuned for studio updates!

intially, she was calm...

but then this woman really just kept putting her ass in sari's face for like an hour..i mean how long does it really take to put down a blanket+get beach ready..sheesh:)

we were caught up in some magic and couldn't make it back until fridy.

we did everything there was to do..made the train, hit an orchard, seriously nailed it at the thrift stores (might have to do a post about that later), lunch with dad, drinks with a high school bestE, mad luck with radical radio play, drove around with the top down, stayed up later than intended, indulged in whiskey tumblers+slid across the floor in our socks, listened to crickets, found petticoats+basically all dreams fulfilled.

we left you as we rounded the corner.

apparently it's that time of year again when sir andrew is one year older. .and gals wear these kinds accoutrement (last year it was me this year it was mademoiselle KAC--who has a patterntastic/magic styling spread in the new issue of surface--check it!)...also more shots in the evening at RP.

british+blogging+babes=bff

i met these 2 immensely talented and terrific gals in barcelona back in the fall of 2003. we fell in love immediately, to the degree that we were going to get matching heart tattoos after 6 days of bcn fun. they then gave up their couch and hosted me in london for almost 2 months. while it's been a little tricky, we have managed to stay in touch and visit once a year here or there.[this month i got to see one of them on each coast!!!]
you might not be lucky enough to know them but i highly recommend a visit to their blog righteous plaisant. you will be gladder than before!!!!
