remember that time we danced in the foggy exploding stars?
here i am, once again feeling terribly lucky to have such remarkably radical friends!!
i can't begin to describe how overjoyed i was this afternoon to receive this AMAZING record of last years librAwesome californiAdventure.. sent to me by the one+only mr. multi-talented danny sangra, my newest libro birthday week buddy+bestE's future forever, who has wowed me full-tilt in oh so many ways+certainly again today with his impeccable video documentation skills.
it's just simply delightful to see the still images i've been processing, since our return last october, come back to life in real time...
[also kinda wild that it's been nearly a whole year since, and it's almost time for our 2nd annual;]
i hope you enjoy it nearly as much as i do!
xL
p.s. i strongly suggest watching it full screen..it's way better that way;)

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
MAGAZINE PARTY was started to bring magazines back to the art form. Similar to Glenn O'Brien's TV Party, MAGAZINE PARTY aims to hold back from that technically slick feel that defines so many modern publications. Instead it encompasses a more DIY approach, which focuses on a more stripped down style; a style where art itself becomes the core of the design and content aesthetic. For this reason the zine has a limited run and is printed and bound by hand.
MAGAZINE PARTY serves as a forum for friends and artists to contribute something that is a little left of center and gives them the ability to expand from their usual work.
Full list of artists include:
- Kenzo Minami
- Gordon Hull
- Fergadelic
- Jess Rotter
- Zakee Shariff
- Vena Cava
- Elizabeth Spiridakis
- Will Lemon
- J Penry
- Max Wowch
- Alec Friedman
- Louise Sturges
- Kat Clements
- Sarah Kuhn
- Phil Oh
- Justine D
- Roi Cydulkin
- Jason Andrews

the holland tunnel takes you straight to grown up summer camp but the waynes world soundtrack got us there..

gotta say, i love these guys for showing me my first jersey lake experience since girl scout camp (in what might have been 1990)..
highlights included: a personal car ferry. homemade kahlua. galpal dock time. a soggy sunday morning. the dreamteam jersey diner brunch. a speedy nj transit bus ride.
+only a little drama..sprained knees, a tent switcheroo, projectile blackberry gin to name but a few.
we had a blast.
