when in limbo, grab some seeds+sequin skivvies+we'll get groovy.
i was just reminded of this the seeds song on this snowy (AGAIN) morning.
seemed a fun fittingly cheerful california tune to obscure this monotonous white.
(p.s. hot damn...where can i get some of those sparkly underthangs?! so hot-boss miss bets!)

so, you should like totally come!!!!
especially since it's gonna be my last brooklyn night out for awhile! cedez, xabi+i are taking the tarlow family volvo up to mass this weekend for our gal kaia's wedding, then monday they're dropping me in boston to go westward..as lady turner and i are headed out to stay at the chateau to work on a little somethingsomething--will fill you in when i am contractually allowed to divulge..i've got a one way ticket so after a week of hard work..we'll move onto couch surfing to arrange for a different kind of work- on the beach, in the canyons, shooting and generally jamming out. (i.e. no 4th of july party this year)..then after a quick bop back to bk to pick up mi senor+to squeeze the shariceE-we're going downeast for some time in maine...
i tell you all of this to guilt trip you into having drinks with me tonight+because my blogging may be spotty for a bit, so please bear with me.

an audible dessert of most certain means.
i'm relishing this song, fangela, by here we go magic. i went to see them play a few months ago at zebulon+i was delighted through+through with their performance. the drummer, peter, is a dear friend of my bff j. wiles.. besides being exceptionally deft at creating brooklyns best manhattan, he is the drum master on one of the hits featured on my spring soundtack. the band is just back from sxsw with loads of buzz + are about to go on tour with grizzly bear. catch them before they bounce at the music hall of williamsburg, next tuesday.
see you there.
+sorry for the lame youtube video but apparently i don't know how to embed mp3's..bad blogger

we linked arms to the waterfront
i grabbed my polaroids (! my 680 is fixed!!!), some film packs+headed to their rehearsal space on n.6th.. we meandered over to the water to the newish park off n.7th and kent (the one with sweet manhattan in the background).
i shot one pack (10 fotos) +c'est tout! we were done, with 3 that they loved ready to go.
perfecto.
dear readers, i want to sincerely apologize about the crap quality of the digi work as of late. my lumix is still broken+i can't find the warranty-but i remain hopeful, +thus not (yet) buying a new one..also, i have been taking tons of polaroids but gues what?..we have misplaced the power cord to our flatbed scanner+thus haven't been able to get them up on here.
however, i borrowed some from josh last night, so we're on the up.
quality control--coming soon.

thao vs. she and him

no contest.
the vibrant lead singer of thao + the get up to get downs won our collective heart [turner, elizabeth and i got major girl crushy on her]. the headbanging and beat boxing blew our minds and aside from the brown cowboy boots she was perfectly divine. energetic and fun and all cute rocker chick. [in her typical fashion turnski looked at her with her career cap on.. the aforementioned boots prompted turner to decide that our lady thao is in need of some style assistance from a professional. as a fellow viet-hottie, she thinks it only makes sense they work together- i support her in this endevour, if for no other reason than, we all want to be friends with her.]
in the other ring. on the same stage..she+him, the sweet faced ms.zooey deschanel and the mellow man, m.ward, and they were unbelievably BORING!!! beautiful and talented but like an uncooked weiner at a bar b Q with no charcaol or a zippo with no lighter fluid. kind of useless. i guess this is a band that is best listened to on headphones or in a car. where you don't have to look at her, awkwardly not moving to the music while belting out slightly sissy tunes.
now to be fair turner and i did leave the show halfway through [that's how much we couldn't take it], so it's possible she got more stage presence..doubtful.
m. ward is really impressive. he's got skills. she's got the bod and the voice. they are both more than almost famous. but she+he are not for me.
