i'm trying to compile everyone's fotos from the night to do a full report. but this one is a good starter..found on new blog buddy, vanache's radical blog..check it out for a more full report..+ i will keep uploading pics as i get them..

(for the record. it was the PERFECT amount of packed..+only one toupee-ed gentleman tried to steal a book..but thanks to jacqueline, he didn't get away with it..i mean a free tote shoulda been enough man.)

what a fucking great week. last night was one of the most fun nights i've ever had. so many good people with great looking attitudes+lovely figures. i am so grateful for all the love+support (+editing help+pR+candy+blog shout outs+on+on) that i've received in the last few months. i feel lucky to be part of this, here, now.

seriously righteous, just how i always dreamed it might be.....

not one but TWO nominations (for the NYPhoto festival awards) !! "the future of contemporary photography"..woop de woop!
well, my name is misspelled (louis ingalls sturges) in the fine art series category+for some reason my book entry went in under the student category. but details aside, it's a huge honor to have been chosen amongst all these talented photofolk. my fingers are crossed, as one of the awards is a small book run by powerhouse, which would be a dream come true. +i have to say, if i don't win, it'll be aiyght..this alone is a really great step in the very right direction.

i've been staring at these 3 computer screens for months now..prepping for the show+the books+i have to say, in the end, i'm feeling pretty glad. (given that i didn't how to even scan a negative when i began this process)..
+the photo stickers arrived yesterday!!!
+ learned how to vacuum seal candy bags yesterday, cause my dear darling friends at papabubble have made besosyfotos candy!! so jazzed.

when ms singleton dropped by yesterday to preview the final edit of the books. she surprised and delighted me with this teeny tiny perfectly jaunty sombrero just all casual-like.
i happen to know that this treasure was found for her gato in new mex last year.. it's always good to be able to borrow from your roomates:)
her topper made the studio a lot more jangly+festive in a flash.
major groovy.

we didn't stop moving until her feet touched the sky.
