i've been working on the besosyfotos book all day today...it's getting muy bueno. but it may still take a few more edits to get it perfect+affordable for selling..i'm hoping to get a draft finished by the end of the week+send it to print by this weekend..fingers crosssed
anyhoo, in doing all sorts of trekking through my ifoto, i turned up a TON of fotos from madrid, which i never got around to blogging (perhaps you remember, i had to get myself out to new mexico fantastico for weddings immediately upon my return)..so i thought i'd share some with you.

+ yes, this is more wishful thinking about summer. sometimes it's good to look through sunshine filled, short shorts pictures when the sky is grey and dripping...st this point, i am so looking forward to packing my new chanel flats for their maiden voyage to españa......because we just found out that mi senor's hermano will be getting hitched this summer in mallorca (majorca)!! i'm so fucking jazzed-i've always wanted to go to a spanish island:).....

**perhaps, you could come meet us--you know who you are--i'll be there in the middle/end of june..my dream is to spend some time in the basque region, go back to barcelona for a few, see the island, AND get to know madrid better..(a long to do list, as usual)..

finally back from loads of familytime in jersey+georgia + now, here in brooklyn, i'm finally back on my meds+ back to work- i've been photoshoppin' all day (or trying) for the COURT show... tentatively called 'tangled up in blue'.
i've spent loads of time on lots of ass, old cars+assorted detrius of northeastern/southwestern adventures..here is a sweetass to ponder as i carry on..

might have to have these little chanel cuteE's..this afternoon, i heard the infamous sounds of brooklyn summer..it went above 50 degrees today+it's clearly time for ice cream trucks+new strappy spring shoes..

i can't remember whose blog i snagged his from..but it made me feel rather glad...i've been wainting for some fotos to be hung for quite sometime and mi amor has been waiting for me to cook tacos..c'est la vie. i might eat a brownie)

here's a teensy slice of the armory show opening night preview that went down on wednesday...i was lucky enough to get an invite through ms. barthelme..so i tossed on my chloe's to go get some a. kapoor, arbus, or rather, just take some crappy iphone fotos+drink champagne+sangria. that. we had to pay for-thumbs down. i give the economic downturn a fail when it comes to no more booze at openings..

oh+speaking of saving money. i did not purchase the damien hirst i've coveted for ages. because, you see, upon viewing it in person, i realize, i should + could fairly easily/probably just make on my own. while kat put in an order for the wire hanger imprint on cardboard...easy peasy. hmm, perhaps, that's how to make a buck..start imitating easy art+sell for cheap.

p.s. art is so f-ing subjective, or maybe it's taste that i'm curious about. bad taste... all i'm saying is there are so many ways to waste a lot of money (not that i'm one to talk but still) there is certainly some seriously curious crap over there.

p.p.s. one of the installation highlights was this subdued man in a trench (top foto) holding a full length royal blue faux fur grover coat for his someone special, while she was in the ladies..priceless.

if i could afford a 50,000 dollar couch, it may well be this one on view at the armory show...i would love to nestle up in the crook of this rabbit greatness with my sunday times..i'd be more than happy to take the blinking love installation as well.

southern star

finally back from the south..unfortunately, it was a longer trip than intended, due to the snows that conquered the east coast by storm...i've never been so happy to touchdown at laguardia--possibly ever..(to give you an idea of why-someone yesterday was trying to get real with me about the war of northern aggression..i.e. "the civil war"..wtf?! that's not how i get down)
anyhoo, i took a ton of polaroids-so hopefully i'll be able to scan those + get them up soon.
