we've been talking about having lunch for so long, we finally got dinner.

+a splendid dinner at that.
j money+i polished off a bottle of rose (the first of the season:) +ate the most divine steak at el almacen.. (where i'd never been but am certainly going back!) then made the rounds on the south side with a stop at the woods followed by a night cap at diner (word to the wise-don't attempt to keep up with marissa+wiley with the fernet branca-you will feel a bit like dying the next day.)

he kept it hidden until i pressed play on the recorder.

i know i'm supposed to be a grown up by now but c'mon, giant donkey weiner's are hilarious...especially when you're just aiming to take a nice documentary photo+unexpectedly-woosh-there they grow...

we played the penis game at the dinner table.

in other words-my sister+i had experienced some major regression over the weekend.. on vacay in martha's vineyard....(it really freaked our mother out--given that we are nearly 30+just 37 respectively;)

meals of steel:cheers sans jeers

best consecutive meals i've had..perhaps ever..marlow+daughters man steak+sausages. 2 nights of lobstah rolls, 1 night of lobstah, lots of fresh corn, pasta salad, potato salad, salad salads, roasted chicken, bacon asparagus..cucumber mint cocktails+kat's impeccable s'mores..
makes me salivate just to think..

except for the 5 alarm fire that started just before the fireworks, the night was A(+)lright. this years shindiggy was much smaller than last years (on purpose+lorda mercy)..but a lot of folks whom we love came for our independence fiesta..we hosted about 30-40 buddies+20 or so of their buddies...mercedez made some stupendous punches+mary louise brought some like-minded lemonade..heather+faye both brought delights, i made a well received pasta salad (which was finished before i got a bite), there were ample supplies of marlow+daughters weiners+assorted beef..basically we imbibed+indulged all night long.
i'm a little sorry that i took so few pictures..but you see, i'm still not back to full foto blogger mode..i gots to say that from time to time, it's more fun just to experience things, rather than fotograph the experience..(also, i kept misplacing my camera+my drink all night, so that might have a leetle to do with it.)
