tambourine-playing-whistle-blowing limo driver

he was most radical.
more fun was had in the bat mitzvah mobile than at the overstuffed home sweet home.
while ms. ladypants had a posh good ride for her birthday kickoff.

new camera

we're stepping it up from 5 megapixels to 10. figured it's time to get real and give you and me better quality. as many of you know i've been against the digital revolution for years but here i am blogging it up. makes me feel like a bit of a hypocrite but c'est la vie.. polaroid has been relegated to fancy fun times.

these images could be my new neighbors

let's vote

i don't know. it's a big step for a manhattan gal like me to be daring my way into the Bk. don't scoff, it's true. since i moved here in 2001. i've been lucky enough to live on thompson st in soho and then to perry st and west 4th. but the truth is this..the bohemia of yesteryear here is just that, gone.
i am way beyond on my paintings 'cause i don't have room. some folks say get rid of your shoes, your clothes, your..what?? my identity of stuff. i think not.
so i braved the train and saw 2 spots.the first one had no lite.. this is the second,
quite promising. and CHEAPer than my place now..with a patio AND a balcony!!
not sure that the square footage is quite enough tho..i might have to get a studio anyway..hmm.
on the upside. i could host way more than the 8 people i can now. and we could pour resin. and we could suntan. and we could have sunset cocktails in private:outdoors--a rare commodity here in this metropolis.(shut up LA kids. we can't all have palm trees and backyards)..
so would y'all come out to visit me off the jmz?? you can see the building from the the train platform. only took 10 minutes from here to delancey. that's only a couple more than now.
i don't have a life coach.so cast a vote.
i'm probably going to keep looking but damn.
outdoor space=super radical!

first apt i looked at had this outside the entrance

i don't think the folks'll be jazzed about that.
and the interior was lame. so fuck it.

BBlessing art show..scenester-tacular

the door guy didn't let my lover or my buddies in and it was too crowded to see the work. but there was free beer and a fight that ended in the ejection of these last folks. spotted: lots of stripes and plaid as per the norm downtown these days..

RAUSCHENBERG and chuck close at pacewildenstein

this was a big event for me!!rauschenberg is one of the BIGGEST most serious influences in my paintings. so, i am standing there critiquing the works (not as awesome as his old stuff in my opinion but whatevs, he's an all star anyway.) with mercedez and andrew..and all of the sudden like 15 people have their digies out, shooting down. it's chuck and robert sitting side by side in their respective wheelchairs. like a meeting of some extreme rolling art armchair conference. i take some pics and decide if not now.when.
so i got the gall enough to lean over and thank mr. rauschenberg for being such an inspiring person. he asked me how my work was going. i said i'd just sold my first painting this summer in london.(thanks to the bombshell do gooders!!) he said sometimes you have to go far away to get appreciated..once again affirming this notion of the european market being more my likelihood..
then somebody interrupted and i walked away gleefully and remarkably fullfilled. the dream of a lifetime crossed off the list. sweet. now if duchamp, diane arbus, and warhol would come back from the dead..
